Paradise Lodge gives people from all walks of life the opportunity to enjoy the thrill of racing a thoroughbred without outlaying thousands of dollars to purchase a horse and then meet costs of training.
Most horses are now raced in ten share partnerships, with full owners privileges to each owner/lessee. The whole idea of the concept is not to deny anyone from becoming an owner just because they couldn’t come up with the initial purchase price.
You don’t need to outlay for the purchase price of the horse, this is supplied by Paradise Lodge.
WHAT IS A LEASE:
A lease is where the original owner(Lessor) of the horse leases the horse to the (lessees)new owners for a set period of time.
A standard lease gives the owner 30% of net prize money as a lease fee with the remaining 70% of prize money shared between the lessee’s.
Leasing is a good low cost way for new owners to experience owning and racing a horse. Our extensive knowledge of the racing industry enables us to secure quality horses for lease.
Costs for leasing are $45-00 a week including GST, per lessee for training costs, all inclusive.* (The only exclusion is; emergency veterinary care or feature race nominations.)
All leased horses are to be trained by Lynn Paton.
A monthly account is sent by Lynn Paton Racing to each individual lessee.
Training fees are required to be paid 2 months in advance with prize money distributed every 2 months.
You will be kept up to date about your horse by logging on to Paradise Lodge Racing website and clicking on leased horses, and then click on your horses name and enter your personal password.
The site will be updated regularly, so you will always know what your horse is doing.
There is also a social club where you can become a member and truly enjoy the thrills of racing with your friends.
As well as racing your horses, Paradise Lodge members can participate in a number of functions such as country race meetings, golf days & barbecues.
